Drill Rig

This drill rig was a major task. Once imported succesfully from Finland, the real challenge was to place this 40 tonne rig, install fire supression equipment and load the 13 tonne boom for transportation to the mines. The weight of the equipment meant that the devan area had to be extremely strong and due to the height of the height of the crane approval had to be sought from Civil Aviation to allow usage within an airport flight path.
